Pottery Classes
Come learn the basics of wheel thrown pottery and various hand building projects.
Cost includes instruction, clay, use of studio tools, glazes and all firing fees.

6 week Courses
Wednesday, Oct 15th - Wednesday, Nov 19th
This 6-week class will introduce you to the basics of wheel thrown pottery as well as a variety of hand building techniques. Students will learn various methods of forming clay on the wheel with a focus primarily on functional pottery (cups, plates, bowls, etc.) but sculptural work is encouraged as well. Experiment with various surface decoration techniques such as hand painting with slips, sgrafitto (carving), and glazing. The direction of each class will adapt to individual student interests and needs.
All skill levels welcome. Ages 14+
Cost includes 12 hours of instruction, clay, use of studio tools, glazes and all firing fees.
Studio has 4 electric pottery wheels so spots fill up fast.
Wednesday, Oct 8th - Wednesday, Nov 19th
No Class Wednesday, Oct 29th

Other Services
Want to try throwing clay on the potter’s wheel but not ready to commit to a full 6 week class? Schedule a 2 hour session and come see if you like playing with clay. Kris will reach out to coordinate a time that works with your schedule.
$65 per person for 2 hours instruction, clay, glaze and firing fees. Students typically make 2-4 pieces in the 2 hour session.
Ages 10+
**3 wheels are available in studio
Studio Membership is available for anyone who has completed (2) beginner wheel classes in our studio and are ready for more intermediate and independent work time.
Includes 20 hours per month of studio time (schedule will be sent to you each week). Use of studio tools is included in the membership, as well as glaze and firing fees included. Clay is available for purchase at $20-$23 per 25lb bag.
Instruction is available but not as hands on as you will receive in a designated class. Advanced learning is available as Kris will teach a different technique each month (examples: chip & dip platter, lidded jars, screenprinting on clay, and more).
